Meteorological Systems - Visibility Detector (Fog Detector)

The FIDELITY VM-100 visibility sensor is a micro-processor controlled meteorological instrument which measures visibility through back scatter light from particles in the atmosphere.

VM-100 is highly reliable, compact, and durable. It has an exceptional accuracy over an extended measuring range. Installation is inexpensive, maintenance is minimal, and calibration is an automatic, rapid procedure.

The unit consists of a lightweight electronic assembly, hood, and pedestal, which are constructed of corrosion resistant materials to ensure maximum durability.

The VM-100 has been selected by the United States Coast Guard to be used at automated navigational system sites and has been successfully tested against US National Weather Service standards at Sterling, Virginia.
